About
Mount Calvary is a bible-based, Christ-centered, Holy Spirit-led, and people-oriented church, dedicated to a holistic ministry. We believe in preaching, teaching and applying the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our daily experiences. We believe that the whole gospel is to be shared with the whole world for the purpose of making one whole through the blood of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20). In the name of Jesus, we seek to minister to the soul, spirit, mind, and body so that all may function as whole and holy children of God (John 5:5-9; Luke 2:52).
We are affiliated with the Walker Baptist Association, the Tenth District of the General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia, and the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.

On March 3, 2024, the energetic and enthusiastic Rev. Dr. Christopher C. Armstrong was installed as our tenth pastor.
On February 27, 2022, Rev. Dr. Clyde Hill, Sr. retired after 49 years of dedicated, faithful, inspirational service and leadership to Mount Calvary. He was granted the honor of Pastor Emeritus.
Our Church is located at 1260 Wrightsboro Road in Augusta, Georgia, on the corner of Wrightsboro Road and Chestnut Street. When you arrive at our church, we hope you will feel the love, hospitality, and welcoming spirit that is shown throughout our congregation.

From I-20/Atlanta:
Travel I-20 East toward Augusta to Exit #199 (Washington Road). Turn right off the ramp onto Washington Road. Follow Washington Road (turns into Calhoun Expressway) to 12th Street (the expressway ramp ends at 12th Street), then turn right at the light onto 12th Street (there's a bus station on the corner). Follow 12th Street through 3 traffic lights, then continue on 12th Street to a 4-way stop sign/light and turn right onto Wrightsboro Road. Go down Wrightsboro Road about 2 blocks and you will see Mount Calvary Baptist Church on the left hand side. There is parking along the front, side, and back of the church and also around the old sanctuary.
